The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a high level summary of its overall blog health:

Blog Stats for August 2010

Blog views for this month were very erratic. We broke the old record of most number of views in a day (113 views) several times this month, thanks to fierce promotion on sites like alphainventions.com and BlogSurfer.us.

From now on, these blog stats will be posted in a separate page.

Blog Stats for July 2010

It was a pretty jumpy month. The spikes in the graph roughly correspond to when I published a new blog post.

Blog Stats for June 2010

Not a lot of particularly interesting things have happened this month, but average page views per day seem stable.

Any days where my blog exceeds 50 views, I’m excited; any that exceed 30, I’m happy. There were a number of days in the 30s or higher. I’m happy.

Something new!

I was browsing through my WordPress administration pages yesterday and this is what I found:

Looks like more blog statistics, but this time, it’s spam comments!

I’m glad I found this. I’ve always hated spam and kept track of it here. Now I can check my blog’s spam history (which really sucks) among other things such as comments that are inadvertently marked as spam or comments that were spam but were not marked as spam.

Overall, I think Akismet has been doing a wonderful job of keeping up with those nasty spammers. Now, they give me a nice dashboard where I can track all this. Thank you again, Akismet!

Blog Stats for April 2010

The biggest attractor this month was my opinion on how the lost iPhone was a planned leak. This story brought the most viewers to the blog, as you can see by the spike around April 20th. Also on the spotlight was my San Francisco trip, which didn’t garner so many views, but I still thought it was awesome.
